Doctor’s Advice: Should I Still Come in For My Dental Appointment? #COVID19

The coronavirus is proving to be deadly to certain populations of people. With all the COVID-19 panic happening, people may be wondering what the best way to go about their daily lives is. When it comes to coming into our office at Aesthetic Smiles, here’s everything you should know:

1. Dental offices in general are extremely sterile

Even before the outbreak of COVID-19, dental & medical offices were already practicing good sterilization habits. After every patient, each room is wiped down and sanitized in preparation for the next patient. All tools are sterilized after every use and the staff is required to wash their hands frequently.

2. Now, even more precautions are being taken

Rest assured, our dental office was already sterile, but now things are even more sterile. Every room is sanitized twice over, single use plastic bags have been implemented to cover all dental chairs and hand sanitizer is available throughout the office.

3. If you feel sick or were recently in contact with someone who was sick, please stay home

Due to the high contagion rate of COVID-19, we have asked all patients who are sick or were recently in contact with someone who is sick to reschedule their appointment. For patient’s who feel the need to reschedule, our front desk is completely understanding and supports the decision & attempt to contain any virus’.

4. For patients who feel healthy, we encourage you to come in for your appointment.

As stated before, we are taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our staff and patients while in our office. We encourage healthy patients to show up for their appointment.

5. Wash your hands

It seems simple, but washing your hands is very important. Any time you come in contact with a commonly touched surface, eat, use the bathroom, or leave a public place it is highly recommended you wash your hands thoroughly.

Practicing healthy hygiene habits and taking extra precautions will be extremely beneficial for not only yourself but your community. If you are not feeling good, our front desk is ready to reschedule to a further date. However, if you are feeling healthy, we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
